Hi,
My name is Romit Roy, and I am an IB tutor with 9 years of experience under my belt.
A little about me: I completed the IBDP Programme back in 2013, scoring a total of 43 out of 45 points in Singapore. Following completion of the IBDP program, I have 9 years of part-time tutoring experience all across the globe, including experience with reputable agencies like Toppers Pte Ltd (Singapore), Apex Tuition Pte Ltd (Australia), Tutor You (Italy) and Summit Services (Vietnam). Tutoring the IB is more than a side hustle, it is a great passion of mine to connect with students from diverse backgrounds through meaningful psycho-social and intellectual discourse. I have lived with (and tutored) students in multiple regions including Singapore, Australia, Italy and India. I find great fulfilment in collaborating with my students’ unique cultural mindset and fostering a learning environment that balances excellence with open-mindedness, creativity and intellectual curiosity.
Overall, I have tutored over 200 students, with approximately 85% of my students receiving at least a 6 points in their final IB examinations.
Given my extensive IB tutoring experience, my passion for tutoring, as well as my Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne (First Class Honours), I am confident in my ability to provide quality, engaging and holistic 1:1 sessions for key subjects listed.
Besides teaching, I am a Fitness and Yoga enthusiast.
I have a passion for Movement, in particular how movement in the body can inspire an overall clear and balanced mind. Currently, I am pursuing an extensive Yoga teaching course in India, with the intention of bringing back more mindful practice into my teaching and everyday lifestyle.
